"The Plaid Dove" (Version 3)

Version 3 is the only one in "The Plaid Dove" series that has none of the hand-painted abstract elements found in the other three versions. The title is a double meaning, "plaid" referring to both the brand Plaid and the plaid pattern I created. This all-plaid version offsets the all-abstract style of Version 4, and I like how the precision and sharp lines of the plaid pattern contrast with the soft curves of the dove, just as the almost-glowing brightness and rich saturation of the blue pops and contrasts with the dark charcoal hues of the background.
