The cover of David Bowie's Aladdin Sane is possibly even more iconic than the music within. It may not have any major "hit songs," but it's still a great album with several gems, including "The Prettiest Star," which of course starts off with the phrase "cold fire," hence the title of this piece. My version of the famous red bolt rounds out my Bowie trio especially nicely for my minimalist friends out there.
